Continuous and vigilant blood monitoring to avoid Sheehan’s syndrome is important following surgery of placenta previa. Postoperatively, patients are also at an increased risk of abdominopelvic bleeding, fluid overload from resuscitation, multi-organ damage, infection, unrecognised ureteral or bladder injury or pulmonary edema.
