Intrauterine hypoxia is connected with a variety of maternal, placental and fetal conditions which may manifest and have various outcomes. There are 3 types of pregnancy hypoxia:
- Preplacental hypoxia: both mother and fetus will be hypoxic.
- Uteroplacental hypoxia: maternal oxygenation is normal but the utero-placental circulation is impaired.
