BISHOP score helps in assisting the mother for readiness for spontaneous labor and predicting whether induction of labor will be required for normal delivery. It is monitored by 5 parameters like cervix dilation, effacement, station, position, and consistency. Scoring is given from 0-3, where a favourable cervix score is 6-10, and an unfavourable cervix score of 0-5.
