APH cannot be predicted, usually placenta previa and placental abruption are risk factors of APH. There is very less evidence that APH can be prevented but women should be encouraged to modify risk factors like smoking, cocaine and amphetamine abuse. Antenatal anemia should be identified and treated. Iron-deficiency anemia not only reduces a woman’s tolerance to bleeding but may also contribute to uterine atony.
Question: Name one of the major factors for APH?
