It is one of the common causes of obstructed labor caused because of the size mismatch between the fetal head and the mother’s pelvis. The fetal head is proportionally too large or the mother’s pelvic bone is too small to accommodate the fetal head. Another possible reason is the fetal malpresentation. Delay in the treatment, might lead to birth injuries such as Cerebral palsy or hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy.
