What happens with a lesser amount of Amniotic Fluid?

It is a condition in which there is a very little amount of amniotic fluid around the fetus. Causes of oligohydramnios include premature rupture of membrane (before labor), intrauterine growth restriction, birth defects, post-term pregnancy, twin transfusion syndrome. Generally, oligohydramnios occurs in 4% to 7% of pregnancies.
