Is the baby doing fine? Know the frequency of assessing fetal heart rate

FHR monitoring is a crucial parameter to assess the well-being of the fetus. Based on WHO and FIGO guidelines, FHR monitoring should be performed every 15-20 min in the latent phase of labor and every 30 minutes in the active stage of labor for normal, low-risk pregnancy. Continuous monitoring is recommended for high-risk pregnancies.

Note: Routine evaluation of fetal wellbeing by cardiotocography is not recommended in pregnant women presenting spontaneous labor.

DAKSH intrapartum mobile application provides features to record FHR and gives alarms for the same according to WHO protocol.  Try now
